Lucy Letby, a nurse accused of murdering infants, was unable to recall the details of a baby's fatal collapse, despite sending a colleague messages at the time. Prosecutors allege she injected babies with air, poisoned them with insulin, overfed them with milk and physically assaulted them. Letby denied all charges made against her. The court heard that Letby broke the news of Baby D's death via WhatsApp to an off-duty friend. She claimed that mistakes by hospital colleagues led to one of the infant's deaths. Letby denied injecting Baby D with air and also denied remembering much about the incident when interviewed by police.
