Ky. man allegedly shot roommate in the butt because he ate his last Hot Pocket

Police arrested a 64-year-old man for allegedly shooting his roommate because he ate the suspect's last Hot Pocket.

According to WAVE-TV, on the night of Saturday, May 20, Clifton Williams became upset with his roommate, who remained unnamed, after he learned the roommate consumed Williams' food. Williams allegedly threw tiles at the roommate, and the roommate attempted to defend himself.

WLKY-TV reports the roommate started exiting their home, but as he tried leaving, Williams allegedly grabbed a gun and shot the roommate in his butt. The victim reportedly escaped and made it several blocks before he received help. He was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Williams was arrested and booked into the Louisville Metropolitan Department of Corrections in the early hours of May 21. WAVE reports Williams pleaded not guilty to one count of assault. A judge set his bond at $7,500 and said he could not have any contact with his roommate.
