Supernatural star Jensen Ackles has revealed that he was hoping to play the lead role of Joel Miller in HBO's upcoming series adaptation of The Last of Us, but lost out to Narcos star Pedro Pascal. Ackles admitted that he probably didn't have a solid chance at getting the role in the first place, but still felt devastated after learning he didn't earn the spot. While some fans were disappointed for Ackles, others felt that Pascal was a much better choice due to his age and experience. The Last of Us premieres on January 15, 2023.
