Julia Louis-Dreyfus, the Seinfeld star, has called the Seinfeld curse "moronic" and a concept invented by the media. The so-called curse refers to the main four Seinfeld stars' inability to launch successful shows after the sitcom's finale in 1998. However, Louis-Dreyfus led The New Adventures of Old Christine on CBS and got nine Emmy nominations and one win for herself before Veep. Alexander appeared in everything from Community to Criminal Minds, while Seinfeld is one of the most recognizable sitcom stars of all time.
Although the four may not star in anything as impactful as Seinfeld, their subsequent work shows the curse talks were overblown.
