A cyclist who was absent from the winner's podium has denied that she boycotted the event over the fact that the winner was a transgender woman. Lindsey Kriete said she left the race to grab some food and beer with friends and wasn't aware that she had come in second behind Lesley Mumford. Mumford posted a photo of herself on Instagram standing alone with the caption: "I have no idea why so many people bailed before the podiums." SiriusXM host Megyn Kelly slammed Mumford, calling her "a biological man" who transitioned in order to win races. Kriete denied there was a boycott.
