Search teams are continuing to comb a remote reservoir in Portugal for a third day in the hope of finding evidence related to the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. A former friend of the prime suspect in the case, Christian Brueckner, told police that he had visited the beauty spot shortly after the toddler vanished in May 2007. The informant gave detectives "details" that are being taken "very seriously." The search is focusing on the foreshore as the water level in the reservoir is considerably lower due to low rainfall in recent months. German prosecutors believe Brueckner is behind Madeleine's disappearance and the search is also aimed at finding evidence of other potential victims.
