Every Way Seinfeld's Pilot Was Different From The Rest Of The Show!
18/05/2023

The Seinfeld pilot, titled "The Seinfeld Chronicles," had several major differences from the iconic sitcom that followed it. Most notably, there was no Elaine character and the female lead was Claire, a waitress who was written out of the show. Kramer was also named Kessler and had a different personality, while Jerry's apartment was dingier and smaller than in later episodes. The stand-up sequences were more integral to the pilot and shot differently compared to later episodes. Despite these differences, the back-and-forth between Jerry and George is similar to what defines the show throughout its run.
