A cyclist in Hackney, London, collided with a child on a zebra crossing and was punched in the face by an unknown man afterwards. The cyclist suffered a broken jaw and required extensive surgery. The police are investigating the incident and have appealed for any drivers with dashcam footage to come forward. Meanwhile, earlier this year, another cyclist in Chester suffered injuries after hitting a wire trap strung across a popular pathway. Similar traps have been reported in Kent and south Wales.
