Friends is a TV show that aired from 1994-2004 and follows the lives of six friends living in New York City. Monica, Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Phoebe, and Joey each have their own unique role in the group. Monica is the glue of the group and has connections to all the main characters, including Chandler who attended a pre-Friends Thanksgiving dinner with her years prior. Ross is Monica's older brother and had feelings for Rachel in high school, but she didn't know until later. Rachel met Monica when they were kids and encountered Chandler at a Thanksgiving dinner. Joey was the last to join the group after answering Chandler's ad for a roommate.
