A 23-year-old mother and her husband are facing charges of child neglect, possession of methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia following the death of their 2-year-old daughter who was left in a hot car for 14 hours. Kathreen Adams called 911 and told deputies she found her daughter inside the home, but medics noted the girl's body temperature was 107 degrees, and Adams' story didn't add up. Investigators discovered drugs at their home and arrested both Adams and her husband, Christopher McLean. The couple fell asleep after picking up their children from a babysitter, forgetting about their daughter in the car until late that afternoon. The 4-year-old child is now in the custody of the Department of Children and Families.
