During the filming of a scene in Friends season 9, Matthew Perry went off-script and joked, "Have you looked in the mirror?" after Monica complained that Joey thinks she's a slut. The scene was cut from the final episode due to its insinuation that dressing up in lingerie is equivalent to being promiscuous. This joke crossed a line and bordered on slut-shaming. Despite being an attempt at humor, it was not well-received by the audience and thankfully did not make it into the final version of the episode.
