A 20-year-old man from Texas has been arrested for shooting and killing his eight-month-old daughter while struggling with her mother over a handgun. Alejandro Martinez has been charged with injuring a child that caused serious bodily injury in connection with the incident on 12 April.
The child’s mother, Ruby Mora, has been arrested too and faces the same charges. Allegedly, Mora was arguing with Martinez over a gun in his possession when they started struggling for it, while she was holding their daughter. The struggle caused the firearm to go off, hitting both Mora and the baby.
