Michael Lembeck, the director of the show, had to ask Van Damme not to put his tongue in their mouths. The producers also had other problems with the actor, including his late arrival on set and demands for more time to memorize his lines. Despite all the trouble, co-writer Michael Borkow admitted that Van Damme did fulfill his role as a big Hollywood star that the girls would fight over.
