Spider-Man's enemies have been as important as the heroes, with many representing the polar opposite of Peter Parker. Spider-Man: Homecoming introduced Adrian Toomes, aka The Vulture, who represented a reality Peter hadn't confronted. Unlike past villains who were born from accidents, Toomes became a villain out of necessity and choice.
Toomes and his crew used alien technology to steal from Stark Industries and sell weapons, making him more dangerous than other enemies. Toomes wasn't afraid to kill anyone in his way, including a child. He became the perfect villain to be created by choice because he embraced his dark side quickly and without remorse.
